Berri: Resistance Main Deterrent Power against ’’Israel’’

Lebanese House Speaker Nabih Berri wondered about "the cause of continuous pressure and sanctions on Iran that has the right to enjoy its capabilities while "Israel" isn't held accountable but is even encouraged in its nuclear armament."
Noting that international community continues in its double satandard policy, Berri accused western community of setting pressure on Tehran since "it is biased to the Palestinian people and their just causes."
""Israel" has 144 settlements in the West bank while the total number of settlers reached about half a million," he added asserting that "Jaudizing al-Quds is the central goal of the settlement policy."
""Israel" waits the Arab system to keep in its division and fragmentation in order to reach its objectives," Berri clarified.
Calling the Conference to turn into an opportunity to uncover the "Israeli" crimes and to devise new means of resistance and opposition," Berri reminded of "thousands of detainees and prisoners in the Zionist prisons."
""Israel" resort in the Mediterranean to the policy of "I or no one", and doesn't understand that the situation has changed, and that the Lebanese will not accept that it touches their wealth," he emphasized.
"The Resistance is the main deterrent power against "Israel" and given the current circumstances, it is a necessity to prevent "Israeli" exploitation of the situation in the Arab world to harm Lebanon," Berri emphasized.
"US is responsible for arming "Israel" that does not want peace, isn't qualified to achieve it," House Speaker pointed out.
Stating that ""Israel" can no longer claim that it is the only democracy in the region
in light of the democratic revolt that took place in Egypt, Tunisia, and Libya;" Berri asked "why are the Arab states boycotting Syria instead of "Israel"?"
"Why are Arab funds being employed to finance Syria's demonstrations instead of the Palestinian people? Is it because Syria, like Iran, supports the Resistance and is demanding fair and comprehensive peace?" Berri wondered.
