Haj Hassan: We Support People’s Will, Where Were the Opposition in the Nineties?
Lebanese Agriculture Minister Hussein Haj Hassan said that "we support the aspirations of Arab peoples to freedom and to the people's right peoples to self-determination."
In a graduation ceremony, Haj Hassan pointed out that "these ideas are already
structured on the basic ideology of resistance and its policy."
"Did the US become the direction to concepts of freedom and people's self-determination?" he asked adding "Is US now the home and intellectual, ideological, and political destination of those people aspiring to freedom, liberation, and dignity?".
"The problem between their thought and our thought is that they surrender to US power," he added stressing that "this US could neither after ten years of Afghanistan's occupation nor after eight years of Iraq's occupation prove its strength."
"Those who are opposing today, at least in Lebanon and those who stand against Syria, where they were in the nineties and early 2000?" the minister asked
