Raad Visits Aoun, Slams Foreign Attempts to Seize Lebanese National Sovereignty
Head of Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc, Mohammad Raad confirmed, "There are old foreign attempts to seize our national sovereignty in economy, security, and judiciary".
He indicated that these foreign attempts are confronted through ways that maintain Lebanon's sovereignty.
On the sidelines of his meeting with Head of Change and Reform Bloc, MP Michel Aoun in Rabiyeh, in presence of Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Hassan Fadlallah, MP Raad denied any "state of drought" in the relationship between Hizbullah and the Free Patriotic Movement.
MP Raad further clarified that there are mutual visions upon which future actions will be based.
Moreover, he noted that continuous talks and common grounds in absorbing the discussions and analyzing them, lead to an agreement based on mutual opinions and attitudes.
Regarding the latest statements of US Ambassador to Lebanon Maura Connelly, MP Raad went on to say, "These are hypes and not threats, and they aim at deceiving us all into following what contradicts with the interests of Lebanon, truth, and justice".
On the level of funding the Special Tribunal for Lebanon, Head of Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc stressed that "the points of view between Hizbullah and the Free Patriotic Movement are similar in this regard". He added, "We do not rush Prime Minister [Najib Mikati] into adopting a stance in this issue".
Commenting on the recent visit to Russia by the Hizbullah delegation, Raad indicated, "The Russians were the ones who invited us to discuss our visions, with reference to our effective presence on the local and regional levels".
