Abadi Visits Aoun, Affirms US-Zionists Won’t Gain in Region Through Threats
Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Ghadanfar Rokon Abadi confirmed that the US and "Israeli" pressures on Syria are due to its support to the resistance against the Zionist occupation.
He noted that "one should not say anything that would irritate the Zionist enemy, because democracy is good only when it serves the US-Zionist interests, and it's wrong when it doesn't serve them".
After his meeting with head of Change and Reform Bloc Michel Aoun in Rabiyeh, Ambassador Rokon Abadi expected the pressures on Damascus to increase in the upcoming days, affirming that the Americans and the Zionists will not gain anything in the region through threats.
Moreover, Iranian Ambassador noted that he discussed with MP Aoun the latest developments on the local, regional, and international levels, especially regarding the cooperation between Lebanon and Iran.
"We focused on the fabrications addressed by the US and the Zionist entity against the Iranian Republic", he added.
He further referred to His Eminence Sayyed Ali Khamenei's rhetoric about documents that prove the US support of terrorist operations in Iran and the region, stating there are some 100 documents that prove a direct US interference.
Regarding the US policies and sanctions on Iran, and about its possible direct effect on the region, Rokon Abadi indicated, "Since 32 years, we have been facing threats and coups and many terrorist operations and pressures, and thank God, despite all these policies, we have reached self sufficiency in economy and technology, and Iran will be sending its first space crew in 2019".
