Suleiman: Lebanon to Fix STL Mistakes

Lebanese President Michel Suleiman called Lebanese parties to draw a separation line between Lebanon's commitment to the Special Tribunal for Lebanon and its work.
"If there has been any flaw or mistake as previously happened with the case of the four generals' prison, Lebanon should work on fixing that mistake," Suleiman told "al-Liwaa" newspaper.
Concerning STL funding, Suleiman said that "until now he doesn't have a final plan on solving the crisis."
"I have high hopes that the efforts exerted to resolve the issue would have positive ends," he noted.
"I don't fear of deterioration in the situation because not a single party in Lebanon has an interest in that," Suleiman emphasized.
The President also unveiled that he "held phone conversations with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad about the issue of borders' filtration and that Damascus' authorities apologized for the unintentional violations."
