Sayyed Safieddine: "Israeli" blockade of Gaza is a complete scandal of the international community

The head of the Executive Council of Hizbullah Sayyed Hashem Safieddine described "the 'Israeli' siege of the Gaza Strip as a full scale scandal of the international community, the unjust global policies and wrong and failed Arab gambles."

He saw that "what is happening urges us to emphasize our resistance option, and reaffirms the resistance path as the only way that grants liberation and honour to the people of Palestine and the nation."

During a memorial service in Al-Berjawi Husseiniah Hall, Sayyed Safieddine called for "rallying around the Palestinian people and the Palestinian steadfastness in Gaza, where the blockade failed to break the will of the people in spite of the tragic scenes and difficult conditions."

Sayyed Safieddine pointed out that "any Muslim or Arab, who can alleviate the injustice against the Palestinian people yet does not do that, is worse than the 'Israelis.'"

He further added: "There is an approach extending from some Arab states to certain parties within Lebanon, in which a raising of tone is applied to pressure the resistance in order to cover 'Israeli' crimes."

There is a state of pressure exercised by some Arabs to force the resistance into retreat in Palestine, and also used by some in Lebanon to force the resistance here too into retreat. Both pressures have a single objective, which is to meet with the 'Israeli' goal. Otherwise, it is no coincidence at all that tones are being raised now, when Gaza is besieged in such a way and when Barak is threatening to wage war on Lebanon and to destroy Lebanon."
