Zionist activists set up new West Bank wildcat outpost
Source: AFP, 02-01-2008
AL-QUDS - "Israelis" Wednesday placed two mobile homes on Palestinian-owned land in the West Bank, residents said, a move likely to further inflame a row over Zionist settlements.
The "Israelis" beat up two Palestinians who attempted to stop the trucks transporting the caravans to the new unauthorised outpost near the West Bank village of Bilin, the witnesses said.
The Zionist ultra-Orthodox settlers wished to use one of the caravans at the outpost -- close to the settlement of Modiin Illit -- as a synagogue, public radio said.
There was no immediate reaction from "Israel's" authorities in the West Bank.
"Israeli" Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has pledged to dismantle dozens of wildcat settlements built in the occupied West Bank since 2001, but so far the Zionist state has taken no action.
