Abu Zeinab: Arab countries are financing Lebanese electoral battles

In a dinner on Tuesday night, Hizbullah's political council member Ghaleb Abu Zeinab said that Lebanon was witnessing an unprecedented activity before the 2009 parliamentary elections.

He accused some Arab countries of financing Lebanese parties with more than 300 million dollars in order to support the electoral battle in Kesrouan and other Christian areas.

Abu Zeinab affirmed that the opposition had much public support, which, he added, would be reflected by winning the majority of the parliament's seats.
