Areslan: Ending Gaza siege a preemptive defense measure for Lebanon

Youth and Sports Minister Talal Areslan called for extensive participation in the demonstrations organized to protest the ongoing "Israeli" siege of Gaza. He added people should keep in mind that what was happening in Gaza could occur anywhere, including in Lebanon. Areslan said that breaking the Gaza siege was a pre-emptive defensive measure that would enhance Lebanon's security.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Areslan said that nobody was safe from "barbaric" "Israeli" attacks, which he said received disappointingly obvious acquiescence from the international community. Areslan said that the Arab states should take the lead in amending the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, because the UN's behavior contradicted this declaration.
