On the occasion of Eid al-Ghadir under the auspices of Hizbullah Executive Board Chairman, Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, and in cooperation with the Municipality of Ghobeiri, the Holy Quran Association for counseling and guidance held the Quranic Friendship Festival in the Ghobeiri municipality's garden where attending personalities concluded the festival.

Sayyed Safieddine gave a speech in which he stressed that when pressure increases and the siege tightens on our Palestinian brothers, we become more determined and resolute. Just as the U.S. and "Israel" along with all their accomplices, were unable to impose their hegemony or break the will of the resistance, today again they are unable to break the Palestinian people's willpower.
This very same experience succeeded in Lebanon and Palestine.

He felt that certain Arab regimes insist on punishing them as they partake in the imposed siege, to force the Palestinian people into yielding, since they refuse to be obedient and submissive to the orders of rulers and tyrants.

On the internal situation in Lebanon, Sayyed Safieddine assured the presence of a comfortable political atmosphere in spite of the tension created by some, due to their inability to achieve any of their wishes. He also stressed that what the American administration and the followers of U.S. policy failed to achieve thus far, these will fail to achieve today, since our position is tens of times better than it was in the past.

Sayyed Safieddine stressed that what happened yesterday of attack on Lebanese civilians and the flagrant violation of the border in the southern town of Blida, is a very serious matter that must be carefully weighed and considered; for it was a hostile act of war carried out by Zionist soldiers.

Sayyed Safieddine asked about the goal the Zionist soldiers were trying to achieve through this act. He also wondered what fully armed and equipped Zionist soldiers were doing on the outskirts of Blida town, and what is the purpose of their entry into the town and of this attempt?

His Eminence stressed that this was an attack on Lebanon and its sovereignty. It is a gross violation that must not be overlooked as if nothing had happened which reaffirms the truth we have been talking about every day, regarding the need to be immune and vigilant to what "Israel" is concocting for Lebanon.

Sayyed Safieddine also addressed the propagation of financial corruption and the attempt to make it a general culture in society, in which each one who is entitled to vote can participate.
Those who spend millions to get electoral votes, practice a dangerous level of corruption and corrupting. He felt that funds spent under the various headings to produce a pre-rigged electoral process, by them, who talk about inadmissible financial expenditure.

His Eminence stressed that fraud has already begun, through arbitrary spending now in unfair election practices according to the current Parliament's election law.
What is worse, governmental institutions that should spend money and serve the people, on the one hand withhold due funds and rights of the people, and on the other spend in investment for the coming elections!

We bring this up not out of fear of the results of such actions, but as a caution against it, as a corrupt culture that some attempt to spread to become the norm.
His Eminence concluded that all this will be to no avail, only to bring grief in the end to those who will only reap bleak failure.
