Once again, the Zionist entity circulates news about a potential "gift" to the Lebanese government of Fouad Saniora that would take the form of a "retreat" from the "Israeli"-occupied Ghajar village.
In this context, "Israeli" daily Maariv reported that UN Special Coordinator Michael Williams held a meeting with the "Israeli" Foreign Ministry Director-General Aharon Abramovich. According to the "Israeli" report, the meeting focused on the appropriate setting of the contacts that would take place to secure the "Israeli" withdrawal from the northern part of the Ghajar village.

The "Israeli" daily, meanwhile, quoted an "Israeli" political source as saying that "Israel" was seeking, through shifting the control of the region to the United Nations Interim Forces in Lebanon (UNIFIL) forces, "to weaken Hizbullah and strengthen the Lebanese government."
The daily noted that Williams would travel to Lebanon where he's set to meet with the Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Saniora, turning over to him the "Israeli" requests regarding the ways to manage "the negotiations."

According to "Israeli" political sources, the Zionist entity will insist on ensuring its security demands in all potential negotiations.
Meanwhile, UNIFIL Commander General Claudio Graziano reiterated that UN resolution 1701 stipulates "Israel" pulls out of the Ghajar village. He said UN troops seek to protect the people's interest in the south and make sure "Israel" would withdraw from occupied Lebanese territories, particularly the border town of Ghajar.

Speaking to Lebanese daily As-Safir, Graziano hinted that the issue was related to the upcoming parliamentary elections in "Israel". Since elections are approaching, an official can't make a decision which would have an effect on him, Graziano said.

He also said it was unfortunate that "Israeli" troops kidnapped two Lebanese farmers near the village of Blida. Graziano added that UNIFIL will present on Tuesday its report to the Lebanese authorities on the Blida incident, urging all sides to trust UN forces and not to take a unilateral decision.

The UNIFIL Commander General paid a visit on Tuesday to the Grand Serail where he met with Lebanese PM Fouad Saniora who called to define the Blue Line separating Lebanon from the Zionist entity in the southern area of Blida as soon as possible.
