Islamic Jihad: Atrocities Reflect Zionist Real Face

RAMALLAH--A senior member of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement says the recent escalation of Zionists atrocities against Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip show the occupation regime's "real face".
Eleven Palestinians have been martyred in a string of Israeli air and ground incursions into Gaza during the past 24 hours.
Speaking to Alalam TV Thursday night, Ahmad al-Auri said: "Defeated in the last summer attack on Lebanon, the Zionist regime seeks to make up for the huge loss."
The Islamic Jihad official also blasted the Zionist prime minister's recent meeting with Jordanian king Abdullah saying, "Olmert's trip to Jordan took place after he ordered killing of Palestinians."
He also referred to the occupying regime's attacks on al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, noting that "this policy is not something new; Zionists have frequently staged atrocities against the movement since its establishment, killing, deporting and arresting its members."
Al-Auri further named a number of factors including the Islamic Jihad's crucial role in resisting against occupying regime, political tensions and divisions between Hamas and Fatah, as the major reasons behind the Israeli atrocities against the movement.
He called on Hamas and Fatah to put aside their differences and solve the problems undermining the Palestinians unity in order to counter the Zionist regime's plots.
