Labor Minister Mohammad Fneish, in his office at the ministry, received Ambassador of Jordan Ziad al-Jamali, who said after the meeting: "I had the honor of meeting with the Minister of Labor. It was a tour of all developments on the horizon of the political situation in Lebanon. His Excellency expressed tremendous optimism regarding the trends on the Lebanese arena currently going under the title of ongoing reconciliations, as a prelude to a parliamentary elections beset by accord and a civilized image.
I also sensed a heart warming thing from His Excellency, that there exists an understanding that the interests of Lebanon are based on the understanding of the entire political spectrum, and that the future Lebanon is built by the hands of its people without the outside interference of any side; it is what we gambled on in Jordan, that the integrity of Lebanon and its future depends on the collaboration of his sons."
Asked: Have you found any information or threads on the kidnapping of the Jordanian family in Lebanon?
He responded: "We have complete confidence in our brothers in the Lebanese security services who are working night and day to follow up this issue with all its details, at the embassy I am in direct, constant and daily contact with the relevant security authorities.
We hope that any Lebanese party that has any information on this subject to cooperate with us, because, in the first instance it is a humanitarian issue of a woman and her three children. We also do not want this issue to affect the tourism sector, especially since over the last two years Jordan has been Lebanon's number one tourism partner. We do not want this sector to be affected and we hope to resolve the issue and find the family quickly. "
