Fneish: Nasrallah-Hariri meeting is soon
Source: Nowlebanon.com, 16-10-2008
Minister of Labor Mohammad Fneish said Thursday that proposed meeting between Hizbullah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Future Movement leader Saad Hariri is very important but still needs some preparations before it can happen.
In an interview with An-Nahar newspaper, he said that the political climate, after reconciliations and the Doha Agreement will definitely influence the cabinet and that despite the difference in political views, discussions have been held objectively and without disputes.
He said that the role of President Michel Suleiman was extremely important because of his attempts to create a consensus and keeping the ministerial discussions objective.
He added, "although the president's mission is hard, he is holding it well."
Fneish said that those who doubted Syrian intentions about deployment along the borders were exaggerating because they were not relying to any concrete facts.
On the reconciliation with the Progressive Socialist Party, he said that meetings will be hold between MP Walid Jumblatt and MP Mohammad Raad.
