Wahhab counterstrikes Saniora’s interview with Financial Times
Source: nowlebanon.com, 21-10-2008
Former minister and head of the Unification movement Wiam Wahhab on Tuesday criticized Prime Minister Fouad Saniora's recent statements to the Financial Times.
Wahhab said that, in denying Lebanon's victory in the July War, Saniora had forgotten that the war achieved two goals: the liberation of prisoners from ‘Israeli' prisons and the ‘Israeli' loss of its ability to deter strikes.
In talking about Lebanon's relations with Syria, Wahhab added, Saniora also forgot that he was a prime minister and should be committed to the ministerial statement and to the recommendations and directions of President Michel Suleiman.
