Qaouk: Arab funding for the 2009 elections exceeds their July War donations
Source: Nowlebanon.com, 25-10-2008
Hizbullah official Sheikh Nabil Qaouk said the Arab funding allocated for the upcoming Lebanese elections exceeded the amount of aid given by Arab nations during the 2006 July War.
During a eulogy delivered in Ghaziye village in southern Lebanon on Saturday, Qaouk said that the Resistance's priority was liberating the Shibaa Farms and the Kfarshouba hills as well as maintaining the military capability to confront any Israeli aggression.
"The Opposition is gaining points while the US administration and its allies are facing failure in the region," said Qaouk.
"We look forward to the upcoming elections to safeguard the national interest, protect the Resistance's accomplishments and consolidate national unity," he said.
"Let it be clear that the national Lebanese opposition's campaign is unified and coherent," he added.
