Jalili welcomes Lahoud, says Iran will always support Lebanon

Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran Saeed Jalili said that Lebanon's enemies, who tried to turn Lebanese victories bitter by instigating conflict, were in trouble today, adding that he was relieved by the positive atmosphere in Lebanon.

Jalili met on Wednesday with Former President Emile Lahoud who is visiting Iran and said that Lebanon was a model for diversity and peaceful living of all factions and religions. He said that Iran was ready to offer any support for Lebanon's development and advancement.

Lahoud said that Iran was a true friend of Lebanon. "Iran has always been a close friend of Lebanon even during difficult times," he said. Despite ‘Israel's' failure and loss in July War 2006, its public and secret conspiracies were still ongoing to instigate dispute in Lebanon.
