Sayyed Fadlallah: US threatens Arabs΄ security

Lebanon's senior cleric Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah has slammed a deadly US attack on Syria, saying Washington is a threat to Arabs' security.
Fadlallah denounced the Sunday strike on Syrian soil near the Iraqi border that killed eight civilians including four children.
'The US, by establishing military bases in Arab countries under the pretext of improving security, is the most serious threat to the states' security', the Shia cleric said.
Ayatollah also warned the Iraqi government against signing a deal to 'legitimize' the presence of US troops in their country.
He stressed that the US efforts to sign the deal aims at taking command of the resources in region.
Following the Sunday incident, the Syrian government summoned US and Iraqi envoys to protest infringement of its sovereignty, calling the strike a "terrorist attack" that resulted in the killing of "innocent civilians."
Syria has urged Iraq to carry out an immediate investigation into the case.
