Lebanese Forces chief Samir Geagea decided, once again, to expose his prediction capabilities, violating all the positive climates reigning in the country thanks to the achieved reconciliations here and there.
Indeed, while Lebanese were still hoping the meeting that joined Hizbullah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Future movement MP Saad Hariri could reflect positively on others and at least put an end to verbal assaults, the Lebanese Forces seemed in another mood.
In this context, Geagea MPs, namely MP Antoine Zahra, hold their rivals responsible for obstructing Christian "reconciliation" and accuse them of dependency on "foreigners." For instance, Zahra said on Thursday that former minister Suleiman Franjieh, originally, had no intention to reconcile.
Meanwhile, Geagea, himself, does not waste any day without exposing his "wonderful" abilities in assailing his political rivals, claiming at the same time he's ready for all kinds of reconciliations "at any time!"
Geagea's latest achievements in this regard was his return to the predictions, a field he has proved to be his master with excellence.
"I do not hide the fact that I fear that March 8 camp might go back to an old game of theirs, that is to play with the security situation if they feel that they might lose the next election," Geagea claimed in an interview with Lebanese daily Al-Mustaqbal. However, "this is unlikely under the atmosphere of reconciliation," Geagea immediately followed up.
The LF chief pretended that the events that took place last May were the result of two years of continued friction, and the fact that the other side overstepped its "democratic" expression to later spill over to Riyadh Solh square. "The importance of the process of reconciliation... is creating a reverse atmosphere and is returning the political game to its natural spot," Geagea said.
