Hizbullah: Larsen tries for "Israeli" cordiality, turns a blind eye to facts
Commenting on what the observer of resolution 1559, Terje Roed-Larsen, the official international relations official at Hizbullah Sayyed Nawwaf Moussawi gave the following statement:
"The employee whose motives and aims are known to all, again attempts to befriend the 'Israelis' by carrying and presenting their demands as international demands. This employee disregards what has been recorded by the international forces in daily 'Israeli' violations of Lebanese sovereignty and international resolutions.
He does not consider that as undermining the authority of the Lebanese government, but instead argues against the resistance, a legitimate and stable right of the Lebanese in the face of 'Israeli' aggression, aggression international organizations has been incapable of stopping or preventing.
According to his usual habit of turning a blind eye to the facts, this officer also ignores the fact that Hizbullah is an essential part of the Lebanese government, whose legitimacy and validity is recognized by the ministerial statement, away from any militancy portrayal, a description unjustly and belligerently given the resistance.
The 'Israeli' aggression is what undermined the authority of the successive Lebanese governments; the presence of a strong and effective resistance is what recovered this authority, as it was able to thwart the goals of the 'Israeli' aggression.
This officer has persisted with talking about the Taif Agreement, when we know full well that he is unfamiliar with its clauses and items. This agreement has consolidated the Lebanese consensus on confronting 'Israeli' aggression and on removing the 'Israeli' occupation through the use of all means possible, namely the resistance.
It is advisable that he spends some of the time he consumes in vain, to wholeheartedly study this agreement, which he has turned to a veil for hiding facts.
We draw the United Nations Secretary-General's attention to this officer's addiction to directly criticize Hizbullah as abuse of the existing cooperation with the United Nations.
It is time to curb his sabotaging and disorderly role, especially as this role which he has practiced for the past three years, has only achieved miserable failure.
There exists a list of channels that have yielded successes, both declared and undeclared, known to His Excellency the Secretary General of the United Nations; it is not to become permissible for any officer with ulterior and suspicious motives to disrupt this cooperation, or try to sabotage it".
