Hajj Hassan: Terrorist cells are exploited politically to accuse some parties
7\11\2008
Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Hussein Hajj Hassan said on Friday that it was obvious that terrorist cells were behind explosions in many Arab countries and they were exploited for political purposes to accuse some parties of being involved in such activities.
In an interview with Al-Nour radio station, he added that the people who appeared on the Syrian television on Thursday night were crossing the Lebanese-Syrian borders and smuggling weapons and explosive devices and called for operations between both countries' cabinets to prevent those acts.
He said that some parties should stop claiming that the Syrian ambassador to Lebanon will intervene in internal issues and called for defining the responsibilities of all ambassadors to Lebanon in order to solve this issue.
He also said that all the treaties signed between both countries were in favor of Lebanon and President Michel Suleiman and his Syrian counterpart should discuss the issue of canceling the Syrian Lebanese Higher Council.
He affirmed that Hizbullah did not want to postpone the dialogue but its expansion and questioned the claims that the timing of the head of Change and Reform bloc MP Michel Aoun's proposal of the defense strategy was considered wrong.
"We believe that the powerful could pave the way for diplomatic relations, and without the Resistance, the United Nations would have not demarked the Blue Line, upon which "Israel" withdrew from South Lebanon in 2000," he said.
He called for unity in order to confront terrorism and emphasized the necessity of differentiating between terrorism and the Resistance.
