Sheikh Yazbek: America΄s goal is the domination and hegemony over our wealth and resources

Sheikh Yazbek, delivered a speech criticizing the "culture of peace and religions" convention held at the UN, in which the Europeans rejected a call to protect holy sanctities under the pretext of freedom of opinion. He said: "When Tzipi Livni, the enemy's Foreign Minister, spoke about moderation and terrorism, she assumed to embody moderation while the faithful believers embody terrorism. They want to invert the facts; they steal away our religion, claiming that Bush and 'Israel' gave the Iraqis and the Palestinians their freedom and protection respectively."

He also addressed the security agreement between Iraq and the United States, stressing that "America's goal is the domination and hegemony over our wealth and resources. He recalled how the Americans pounced on the agreement before the signing, to undermine it by saying that any talk of a U.S. withdrawal in 2011, is left to the necessity seen at the time."

His Eminence added that "We must bond to support and protect our homeland Lebanon with all our capabilities, we must bear up under the pains, look to what unites us and reject that which divides us, because it is in brotherhood and love we live, only united with our brothers can we grow taller, in togetherness."
