Raad: Suleiman’s Iranian visit will resume normal relations between the two peoples

Loyalty to the Resistance bloc leader MP Mohammad Raad said he welcomed President Michel Suleiman's upcoming visit to Tehran, expecting the visit to be "good in content and form."

Raad made the comments following a visit by a Hizbullah delegation to Baabda on Sunday to congratulate the president on the occasion of Independence Day.

"We congratulated the president and all the Lebanese and stressed the importance of unifying efforts to safeguard independence and bolster Lebanon's capabilities in the face of the possible threats and aggressions," Raad said.

"The president's visit to Tehran will resume normal relations between the two peoples," said Raad.
With regard to Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun's visit to Syria, Raad said "Aoun's visit to Syria has its purpose, because people in the two countries demand the establishment of normal ties."
