Miqdad calls for ascertaining MP Hariri΄s connection with Fatah al-Islam

Deputy Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal al-Miqdad accused regional countries of financing "terrorist groups" to destabilize the situation in Lebanon and Syria.
In an interview with Qatari newspaper Al-Watan on Wednesday, he downplayed the accusations leveled at the Future Movement against the Syrian regime and called on the Lebanese to investigate the movement leader MP Saad Hariri to establish his connection with extremist group Fatah al-Islam.
He said that Syrian leadership was unlikely to discuss the possibility of choosing between the relations with Iran and Hizbullah or achieving peace with "Israel".
Miqdad reiterated Damascus's desire to achieve solidarity among Arabs.
