Sayyed Fadlallah raps political leaders

BEIRUT: Senior Shiite cleric Sayyed Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah said during Friday prayers at the Imam Hassanayn Mosque in Haret Hreik that the rhetoric used by Lebanon's political leaders "proved that they were not open toward other opinions." He said Lebanon's politicians were the result of a "culture of violence." "As the parliamentary elections in Spring 2009 draw near we discover that we lack responsible and wise leaders." he said. He added that Lebanon has become a hostage of "young politicians," who he said, "were produced by political complexes, personal interests and religious affiliations."
